At only 27, Andrea Bindi became the Principal Timpanist of the Teatro alla Scala and the Filarmonica della Scala under the direction of Riccardo Chailly. Andrea has collaborated as a guest timpanist with world-renowned orchestras, including the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, the Bayerische Staatsoper, the BRSO in Munich, and the NDR Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg. He conducts masterclasses throughout Europe and has served as a tutor for the percussion section of the EUYO (European Union Youth Orchestra). He currently teaches at the Teatro alla Scala Academy and the Milan Music Master School.
