Cello Principal Professor
He graduated with top honors from the "L. Perosi" Conservatory in Campobasso under the guidance of M° Michele Chiapperino, and subsequently earned his Second Level Academic Diploma in Musical Disciplines with an interpretive-compositional major in Cello, scoring 110/110. He has been giving concerts as a soloist and in chamber music ensembles since the age of 13 in Italy and abroad (Israel, Palestine, Bulgaria, France, Switzerland, Spain, China, Japan, United Arab Emirates, Germany) for various important national and international associations and for the "Lorenzo Perosi" Conservatory. From a very young age, he participated in numerous masterclasses both at the 30th, 31st, and 32nd Estate Musicale Frentana in Lanciano, and at the Terminillo masterclasses organized by the Roma Sinfonietta Association, held by M° Michele Chiapperino. He has attended orchestral courses and masterclasses with renowned directors and musicians such as E. Florio, M. Zuccarini, L. Bacalov, Y. Grubert, G. Caramia, A. Vlad, and C. Rovaris. He collaborates with numerous orchestras, frequently holding the role of principal cello or co-principal, including: the Roma3 Orchestra, the Abruzzese Symphonic Orchestra, the Mario Nascimbene Symphonic Orchestra, the TusciaOperaFestival Orchestra, the Nuova Amadeus Orchestra, the Regional Orchestra of Molise, the Nuova Orchestra Alessandro Scarlatti of Naples, the Conservatory Orchestra of Benevento, the Orchestra of Rome, the Philharmonic Orchestra of Calabria, and the Orchestra of the Teatro alla Scala Academy in Milan. His active credits include numerous live broadcasts and recordings for Titanus, Rai, Rai Trade, and Rai Sat. His chamber music training was guided by the Masters Diego Roncalli, Enrico Bronzi, Francesca Vicari, the Trio di Trieste, Marco Grisanti, the Ars Trio of Rome, and Konstantin Bogino. In the summer of 2006, he attended the courses of the Trio di Trieste held at the prestigious Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena, receiving the "Accademia Chigiana" scholarship, the "Emma Contestabile" scholarship, and the honor of performing with his Trio at the final concert of the course's best students. In 2008, he successfully completed the advanced specialization course at the International Higher School of Chamber Music of the Trio di Trieste. Since 2010, he has been the cellist of the Trio Delian, with which he won the Absolute 1st Prize, the Audience Prize, and became the Absolute Winner of the 16th "G. Rospigliosi" Competition in Lamporecchio (PT), the 1st Prize at the 8th "Nuovi Orizzonti" Competition in Arezzo, the Absolute 1st Prize at the 10th "Città di Viterbo" Competition, the Absolute 1st Prize at the 5th International "MagnificatLupiae" Competition in Lecce along with the second scholarship (best chamber group) in the inter-category finals, the Absolute 1st Prize and the "Beethoven Prize" for the best chamber music ensemble at the 10th European Grand Prix of Music "Mendelssohn Cup" in Taurisano (LE), the only trio selected for the "Gioventù Musicale Italiana" in Milan, and a finalist trio winner of the audience award at the "Nuove Carriere 2011" review by CIDIM in Rome, thus entering the 2012/2013 concert circuit with a tour of the Trio Delian in Italy. In April 2010, the Trio recorded its first CD in Paris featuring music by Shostakovich and Beethoven. Starting from the 2010/2011 concert season, he has collaborated with the Orchestra of the Teatro alla Scala Academy in Milan for La Scala productions of L'Italiana in Algeri (Teatro alla Scala - July 2011), a tour at the Royal Opera House in Muscat (Oman - November 2011), an institutional concert with M° Gustavo Dudamel (Teatro alla Scala - December 2011), Giselle, Institutional Concerts for the President of the Republic, and tours to Dubai and Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates in April 2015, always with the Orchestra and singers of the Teatro alla Scala Academy in Milan. He served as Principal Cello of the Orchestra of Rome for a 25-concert tour in Japan in August 2018 and for the November 2022 tour. He is Principal Cello and Soloist of the Kalòs Ensemble, Chamber Orchestra of Campobasso. He qualified through audition for the role of Principal Cello of the new I.C.O. "Symphonic Orchestra of Molise" (FUS Ministerial Project a.y. 2021/2024). Since 2019, he has collaborated as a cellist in television broadcasts and live concerts in Italy and abroad with LAURA PAUSINI and SIMONE CRISTICCHI. Since 2009, he has held the Cello chair at the Comprehensive Institute "G.A. Colozza" in Frosolone (IS). He serves as his Comprehensive Institute’s coordinator for the Regional Student Orchestra, coordinator of the new Musical-Track Pathways, and coordinator for Erasmus+ and PNRR. He plays a "Stradivari Mara 1711" model cello by luthier Loeiz Honorè (Cremona 2010).
