Graduated in Viola in 1997 at the "G. Verdi" Conservatory in Milan under the guidance of M° R. Riccio, he subsequently specialized over the following years with Maestro Danilo Rossi. He attended advanced specialization courses at the Fiesole School of Music, where he was a member of the Italian Youth Orchestra, the Academy of the Filarmonica della Scala, and the Teatro alla Scala as Principal Viola. He has held and still holds the role of Principal Viola with various orchestras, including the Sicilian Symphonic Orchestra, the Abruzzese Symphonic Orchestra, the Orchestra of the Teatro Verdi of Salerno, Milano Classica, the "G. Donizetti" resident orchestra of Bergamo, the Accademia della Scala, the Teatro Goldoni of Livorno, and Roma Sinfonietta, with whom he has performed concerts and recorded film scores with M° Morricone. For years, he has been Principal Viola of the Orchestra of Rome, with which he has toured the United Arab Emirates and Japan. He is also Principal Viola of the Kalòs Ensemble Chamber Orchestra of Campobasso and the Filarmonici di Roma. He collaborates with Italy's most prestigious orchestras, including the Filarmonica della Scala, RAI of Torino, La Fenice of Venice, Carlo Felice of Genoa, Toscanini of Parma, Archi della Scala, I Solisti di Pavia, and Symphonica d'Italia. He has performed under the baton of some of the greatest orchestra conductors, including Riccardo Muti, Lorin Maazel, Valery Gergiev, Daniel Barenboim, Daniele Gatti, and many others. Together with his father, he founded "Ensemble Classica," a musical project built around a flexible group of instrumentalists with a vast repertoire, performing numerous concerts in Italy and Europe. Of particular note were the Central American tours in 2000/2001, the first of which was sponsored by the well-known music magazine Amadeus. Over the years, he has also gained experience in the jazz field, collaborating with top-tier artists such as Jim Hall, Paolo Fresu, Stefano Bollani, and Enrico Rava, with whom he also recorded a CD. In 2002, he won the competition for a permanent Viola position at the Teatro dell'Opera in Rome, a role he currently holds. He plays a Marino Capicchioni 1976 viola.
